After a hiatus on the music scene, South African star Khanyi Mbau has people talking with her provocative new track.
Mbau released Ubusuku Bonke last Friday and it arrived with a bang, as it has racked up nearly 100 000 views on YouTube since.
“February is a month of love, let’s just celebrate love making and intimacy the whole night,” said Mbau when describing the track, which she defines as trap-soul.
The songstress was initially concerned about the track because large parts are in isiZulu, but fans have reacted positively to it.
“The response has been overwhelming and I can’t believe that I was stressed before releasing it,” continued the former Muvhango star.
“I was worried about how people are going to judge it. People appreciate it and they are shocked that I can sing in Zulu.”
